Two to Tango

plucking her eyebrows the crescent moon

a myriad of stars he brings her day-old flowers

two to tango her rhinestone ankle bracelet shatters

the feel of stain sheets his roughness

whispering sweet nothings a note in her journal

morning breaks he leaves via the fire escape

winter wind airing out his left behind boxers
